The Power of Perspective In Progress
Most people kill their own progress because they’re too focused on the finish line.
They get frustrated, thinking, “I’m still not there yet.”
But the thing is: If you never look back, you’ll never realize how far you’ve already come.
Think about it!
Where were you when you started? The habits you didn’t have. The strength you lacked. The doubts that made you question if you’d even stick with this.
Now look at you. Even if you’re not where you want to be yet, you’re not where you used to be either. That alone is progress.
And if you never take time to acknowledge it, you’ll always feel like you’re falling short.
Success isn’t about hitting some imaginary “end goal.” It’s built in the daily actions—the reps, the discipline, the choices that stack up over time.
So instead of saying, “I have so far to go,” start saying, “Damn, look how far I’ve come.”
Progress isn’t a race, it’s a lifelong game.
And as long as you keep moving, you’re winning.
